Mat Pilates

Pilates is a technique that incorporates low-impact flexibility, muscle strength and endurance movements. Pilates highlights postural alignment, muscle balance and core strength. Pilates stresses proper alignment and helps improve movement patterns, increases flexibility and strength. I use Yoga blocks, straps, and a Pilates Ring in order to ease each individual into each movement.

Yoga - Vinyasa

The best way to prepare your body for Yoga, is first schedule a private session with me. I safely ease each person into the Asanas (postures) using blocks, Yoga straps and bolsters. I assist each person into the postures, according to their abilities with ease and precision. Yoga is for “EVERYONE”. I currently work with clients with Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s and Cerebral Palsy who have a Yoga practice. I integrate props with clients who suffer from back pain or scoliosis.

The MeltMethod created by Sue Hitzman is a self-care treatment for those suffering from chronic pain. It  aids in erasing the effects of aging and those who an live active life styes in as little as 10 minutes a day.Using a soft foam roller we bring the nervous system back to balance and create length in the body. I also teach my clients the hand and foot treatment, which can be done daily to ease stiffness in the joints.

Personal Training

I work with each individual at their fitness level. Whether they want to lose weight, increase strength or simply feel better, I develop programs specifically designed for their fitness goals. Because I am a Yoga and Pilates trained I incorporate these techniques into my programs. I slowly introduce my clients to different styles of training. Each session is different and challenging but safely executed.

Corrective Exercise

Corrective exercise programs are designed specifically for individuals with muscular imbalances, issues with movement patterns or postural problems, which can lead to pain or injury. The programs I design specifically targets the clients issues giving them a solution to the pain.

Flexibility Specialist

Using several props and a massage table I work with my clients to increase their range of motion through stretch therapy. I integrate active isolated stretching, passive stretching and PNF techniques to help my clients feel better, move better and sleep better.
